The lost rail station of Llanberis

Many people board trains at Llanberis, for the ride up Snowdon or around the lake, but the original station takes ...

some finding. The tracks, laid by the London & North Western Railway in 1869, have long gone and later development has obliterated their route. The station building survives as a craft shop but a later extension hides it from view from the main road and car park. To discover more, read the station's history here and click "Where is this HiPoint?" for a map.
