History for kids on Llandudno prom

Families and school parties in Llandudno can now use mobiles to whet children's taste for history and discover some cool facts. The Children's QR Discovery Tour ...

takes you to eight locations where you'll find HistoryPoints QR codes along the prom - with no roads to cross. Simply choose "For Kids" at the top of the web page to see a colourful page with shortened text and a star letter for the children to collect. By entering all the star letters on a free leaflet - available online or from the Tourist Information Centre or the Rock Shop near the pier entrance - you'll spell out a word linked to Llandudno's history. Along the way you'll learn about: puppets made from driftwood in 1860 and a family of 15 children brought up in a cave; see a photo of a First World War airship at the prom; and discover how Llandudno's first lifeboat cox was called out in emergencies by his daughter as he worked deep underground!
