Anglesey academic's Indian mission

Helen Rowlands, of Menai Bridge, was such a brilliant academic that universities on three continents offered her chairs. She turned them all down to work with poor ...

communities in India, and especially with their orphans and women. She died in Assam in 1955, and later a street in her home town was named in her honour. For more on her story, scan the QR codes outside Tabernacl chapel, on the corner of Bro Helen Rowlands and Ffordd Cynan (aka St George's Road), in Menai Bridge. Or click here.
