Abergavenny's LNWR war dead

The London & North Western Railway lost 16 of its Abergavenny-area employees in the First World War. We have now added their details to our coverage of the town's ...

war memorials. The 16 are listed on a brass plaque at the entrance to the Market Hall. This memorial was later extended with the names of two men who died in the Second World War who were probably LMS employees - they were infants when the LNWR was absorbed into the LMS. To read the fallen railmen's details, scan the QR codes on the door to the right of the town's First World War memorial and choose the LNWR category at the foot of the page. Or click here
