near the structure to discover how the hollow inside contains tall pillars and vaulted roofs. This construction method resulted in the nickname "the cathedral abutment". Building it in this exposed location was challenging. Two men died in the 1840s after falling from the scaffolding there, one having been blown off by the wind.
