Headmaster's impressive roll of honour


In 1915 Talgarth headmaster WT Davies listed his past pupils serving in the war. The tally of 95 was impressive for a rural school, but he'd been head there since 1872! When ...

he reached retirement age in 1916, he was persuaded to carry on at the British School for another four years. His son Percy served with the army and was buried in an official war grave in Talgarth in 1921.
