Son of Benoist and Jane Theibert, of "The Waterloo", Bangor. Son of Benoist and Jane Theibert, of the Waterloo Inn, Bangor. Joined RFA in August 1914 but was later rejected for poor eyesight. He persevered and was accepted again.

  • Thomas Thomas, Corporal 32796. Died 19/11/1917. Age 23. Welsh Regiment 16th Bn. Buried at Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres. Son of William and Elizabeth Thomas, of 37 Friars Rd, Bangor.
  • Thomas John Thomas, Naval Schoolmaster M/6207. Died 31/05/1916. Age 25. Royal Navy, HMS Defence. Commemorated at Plymouth Naval Memorial. Son of John and Margery Thomas, of Bangor. Educated at the National and Friars schools and University College of North Wales, Bangor, gaining a BSc. Was a master on training ship HMS Impregnable before becoming supervisor on four warships. Killed when HMS Defence was sunk in the Battle of Jutland.

  • William John Thomas, Lance Corporal 290488. Died 15/04/1917. Age 28. Welsh Regiment 1st/7th Bn. Buried at Bangor (Glanadda) Cemetery. Son of W Gray and Elizabeth Thomas, of 4 St. Paul's Terrace, Bangor.
  • Robert George Thomson, Private 4638. Died 02/11/1914. Age 32. 1st (Royal) Dragoons. Buried at Llandegai (St. Tegai) Churchyard. Son of William and Janet Thomson, of Capel Ogwen, Penrhyn Park, Bangor. Served in South Africa in the Boer War, receiving the Queen’s Medal with five clasps. Stationed in India before leaving the army to join Liverpool City Police. Rejoined his regiment when war broke out and received the Mons Star Medal in 1914.

  • Frederick Tottey (F Tottie on Commemorated at), Serjeant 310275. Died 17/02/1919. Age 42. Royal Garrison Artillery 48th (Caernarvon) Heavy Bty. Buried at Bangor (Glanadda) Cemetery. Son of Joseph and Mary Tottey; husband of Elizabeth Tottey, of 2 Roberts Terrace, Garth, Bangor. Born at West Kirby, Cheshire.
  • Frederick Tottey, Sergeant 310275. Died of pneumonia 17/02/1919 aged 42. Royal Garrison Artillery. Buried at Bangor (Glanadda) cemetery. Son of Joseph and Mary Tottey; husband of Elizabeth Tottey, of 2, Roberts Terrace, Garth, Bangor. Born in West Kirby, Cheshire. Joined the army in March 1915 and went to France in August 1918. He was being demobilised when he arrived home, feeling unwell, on 08/02/1919. Had worked on a golf course before enlisting. Left his widow and five children.

  • James Trevor Crawley Vincent, Second Lieutenant. Died 09/05/1915. Age 19. Welsh Regiment 2nd Bn. Buried at St Vaast Post Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L'avoue. Son of Sir Hugh Corbet Vincent andLady Bronwen Adelaide Vincent, of Bronwydd, Treborth, Bangor. Educated at Oswestry and Rugby schools, and University College of North Wales, Bangor.

  • J Waring, Serjeant 21219. Died 18/09/1918. Age 26. South Lancashire Regiment 9th Bn. Commemorated at Doiran Memorial. Son of Mrs Parkes, of 11 Hamer St, St. Helens, Lancs; husband of Elizabeth Waring, of 27, Tabernacle St, Bangor.
  • Edward John (“Jack”) Webb, Corporal 1442. Died of wounds 15/08/1915 aged 25. Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Commemorated at Helles Memorial. Husband of Hilda Webb, of Maids Moreton, Buckingham. Lived in Llandegai. Left a widow and two children. Was a bell ringer at St David’s Church, where a half-muffled peal was rung for almost three hours in his memory in September 1915. Worked as gardener for a Mr Gough, of Ty Newydd, Llandegai. Not named on Bangor war memorial.

Buried at Faubourg D'amiens Cemetery, Arras.Son of Sgt Major George Wilkinson and Maria Wilkinson; husband of Margaret Wilkinson, of 6 Union Rd, Glanadda, Bangor. Brother of Herbert, below.
  • Herbert Crowther Wilkinson, Gunner 30282. Died 07/11/1918. Age 34. Royal Garrison Artillery 187th Siege Bty. Buried at Dottignies Communal Cemetery. Awarded the Croix de Guerre (France). Son of Sgt Major GWC Wilkinson, RMA, of Bangor.

  • Albert Victor Williams, Motor Mechanic MB/2926. Died 16/08/1920. Age 24. Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve HMS Victory. Buried at Llanmerewig (St. Llwchaiarn) Churchyard, near Newtown. Son of the Edward Benjamin and Mary Jane Williams, of the School House, Abermule; husband of Margaret I Williams, of Dinwoodie, Bangor. Died of phthisis at Brynseiont Hospital, Caernarfon. Also named on Abermule war memorial.

  • David Richard Williams. Private 2682. Died 15/08/1915. Age 21. Royal Welsh Fusiliers 1st/6th Bn. Commemorated at Helles Memorial. Brought up with his cousin, Mrs Owen of 260 Caernarvon Road, Bangor. Wounded after landing at Gallipoli and died on board the hospital ship HMHS Salta.

  • Hugh Harris Williams, Private 70621. Died 14/05/1917. Age 34. The King's (Liverpool Regiment) 13th Bn. Buried at Bangor (Glanadda) Cemetery. Son of William and Elizabeth Williams, of 10 Strand St, Bangor.Fell ill soon after reaching France, and died at Halifax Military Hospital.

Son of Thomas and Mary Williams of 33 Greenfield Terrace, West End, Bangor, and Thomas Williams. Educated at Friars School and the university in Bangor, where he gained a BA in French. Before the war he taught French at Moreton House School, Cardiff.

He was working as a blacksmith when war broke out, and he moved to Brymbo steelworks, Wrexham. Died of pneumonia.
