North Wales Pilgrim's Way Tour

The North Wales Pilgrim's Way is a long distance footpath from Holywell to Bardsey Island. Connecting sites associated with key saints, it meanders for 240km through some of the region's most remote and beautiful countryside.

You can find route descriptions and maps at this website.

As you follow the path, look out for HistoryPoints QR barcodes at HiPoints (featured places of interest). Scan the first code for a summary text about that place's background. Scan the second code to download the relevant page from HistoryPoints.org to your smartphone or tablet. Once you've read the page, you can use the navigation icons at the foot of the page to discover the next featured place in the QR tour, in your direction of travel.

"Next" on this tour denotes east to west (from Holywell). If you're walking west to east, simply press "Previous" after each HiPoint.

The path passes through areas of poor mobile phone reception. You can still read the summary texts even if there's no reception at all. Then you can scan the second code and store the URL (web page address) on your phone, ready for you to download the page when you're back into reception.
