  • Phillip Burns, Carpenter. Died 13/05/1942, age 54. Merchant Navy - SS City of Bath (Liverpool). Born in Bangor. His last place of abode was Wellington Road, Rhyl. Died at Luderitz, South West Africa, of a medical condition. Not named on Bangor war memorial.
  • George Edward Carter, Sapper 2019371. Died 14/02/1941, age 20. Royal Engineers 71 Chemical Warfare Coy. Buried at Bangor (Glanadda) Cemetery. Son of William James Carter and Margaret Carter, of Bangor.
  • John Alfred Chadwick, Carpenter. Died 19/10/1942, age 46. Merchant Navy - SS Sulaco (Liverpool). Tower Hill Memorial. Born in Liverpool. Son of John and Harriet Ada Chadwick. His last place of abode was Llanllechid, Bangor. His ship was torpedoed and sunk west of Rockall with 65 lives lost and only one survivor. Not named on Bangor war memorial.
  • Horace Lloyd Crane, Able Seaman C/JX 125773. Died 26/09/1942, age 33. Royal Navy HMS Veteran. Commemorated at Chatham Naval Memorial. Husband of Lilian May Crane, of Putney, London.

  • Hugh Owen Edwards, Driver T/225170. Died 07/10/1946 age 38. Royal Army Service Corps. Buried at Bangor (Glanadda) Cemetery.
  • John Elias, Third Engineer Officer. Died 16/01/1941 age 38. Merchant Navy - SS Oropesa (Liverpool). Commemorated at Memorial Tower Hill Memorial. Son of Alderman DJ Elias and Mrs Elias, of Bangor. His ship was torpedoed off Ireland with 105 lives lost.
  • Clarridge Evans, Able Seaman. Died 25/08/1942 age 63. Merchant Navy - SS Amakura (Liverpool). Tower Hill Memorial. Born in Wrexham. Last abode: Brynllyd, Bangor. One of 14 men lost when their ship was torpedoed and sunk off Port Morant, Jamaica.

  • Hugh Richard Evans, boy. Died 08/01/1946 age 16. Boy, Merchant Navy - ADC 527 (UK). Buried Bangor (Glanadda) Cemetery. Son of H Evans and Martha Evans of Bangor. The ADC 527 was a British Mark IV Tank Landing Craft converted at the end of the war for ammunition disposal, hence the new prefix ADC (Ammunition Dumping Craft). It and two other vessels were on route from Silloth, Cumbria. to Cairn Ryan, Scotland, with a cargo of ammunition when they ran into a storm. The two other vessels veered away to the shelter of the Isle of Man, but the unwieldy ADC 527 pressed on and foundered with the loss of all 12 crew near Burrow Head, Scotland. Listed in Commonwealth War Graves Commission casualties database. Not named on Bangor war memorial.
