Son of William Pearce; husband of Claudia Annie Pearce (nee Jones). Worked as a newspaper advertising clerk in Manchester before the war. Married Claudia in 1915 at the Welsh Baptist Chapel, Old Colwyn. Her parents lived at Cleveland, Coed Coch Road. The couple lost their baby son Leonard in 1917, three months before Archibald went to France. Died in Forsbach Reserve Hospital, probably of flu.

Son of William and Hannah Reckless, of Rhiw Grange Terrace, Colwyn Bay; husband of Elizabeth Reckless (nee Williams), of 8 Hebron Terrace, Rose Place, Old Colwyn. Left a daughter. Was a quarryman. Died on a hospital ship of wounds sustained in the attempted invasion of Turkey at Gallipoli and was buried at sea. Elizabeth died the following year.
