Wood Gibson family vault
Wood Gibson was a Manchester merchant. The family vault includes a memorial to Lieutenant Alured Wood Gibson, of Her Majesty’s 30th Regiment. He died in the Battle of Inkerman on 5 November 1854, aged 24. His mortal remains lie in the English cemetery at Cathcart Hill, in the Crimea.
