Llandudno tram shelter name lives on

The unusual circular shelter at West Shore, Llandudno, is still known as the tram shelter, almost 60 years after the last tram departed for Colwyn Bay. But tram passengers were not ...

the only intended beneficiaries, judging by a legal document from 1929 which describes what was then a proposed shelter for the general public - without mentioning any form of transport. Today bus passengers still welcome the opportunity to wait there in relative comfort when the west wind whips in from the sea.
