Where the 'wild cars' were

Long before dodgems were invented, quarrymen used to travel to work on contraptions called ...
Ceir Gwyllt ("wild cars"). Their speed along the rail track depended on how fast they pedalled, and it's said they reached 64kph (40mph) as the occupants of one car tried to bump the car in front. After accidents and fatalities, the quarry company eventually laid on a workers' train. For the details, scan the QR codes at Llanberis Lake Railway stations, or click here
