Britain's last invasion


Some walkers may be surprised that our new QR codes on the Wales Coast Path west of Fishguard mark the site of the last invasion of Britain. England's south coast was too well defended in 1797 but by choosing Fishguard the French commanders reckoned without Jemima Nicholas and her pitchfork ...
