Anyone strolling along Llandaff High Street can now use their smartphone to read how the young Roald Dahl played a trick on a sweetshop owner which caused so much trouble that he was soon moved ...

to a boarding school in England. The former confectionery shop, now a holiday let, was run by a Bridgend-born widow. There are now HistoryPoints QR codes in one of the front windows, to complement the blue plaque above and enable you to learn who the sweetshop owner was and how she took revenge on the future author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
