Good deeds in Goodwick
station in Goodwick, near Fishguard, shut in 1964. Passenger trains to Fishguard Harbour continued but weren't much use to residents or people visiting this beautiful stretch of the coast. In 2009 pupils in Moylegrove started a petition calling for better rail services. The Welsh Government agreed, and Pembrokeshire council organised a rapid rebuild of the station, which is adjacent to the western starting point of National Cycle Network Route 4 to Newport and London. To read about the station's origins and resurrection, scan the QR codes by the information boards facing the station car park. Or click here
