- Thomas D Atkinson, Private, 3520. Died 11/03/1918 aged 24. Welsh Guards. Buried at Level Crossing Cemetery, France. Son of John and Ann Atkinson, of Gwyddelwern, Corwen; husband of Hannah Atkinson, of Plas Coch, Lancaster Square, Conwy.
- Ian Alexander Baxter (Captain), Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Died 30/05/1918 aged 24. Awarded Military Cross in 1917 for courage in reorganising the front line while under heavy fire. Later Mentioned in Despatches. Buried at Chambrecy British Cemetery, Marne, France. Son of James and Kate Christina Baxter of Benarth, Conwy.
- James Blundell (Rifleman), 242589, South Lancashire Regiment. Died 26/04/1917. Buried at Erquinghem-Lys churchyard extension, France. Son of Samuel and Catherine Blundell of 32 Chapel Street, Conwy; husband of Mrs S Blundell of 10 Watkin Street, Conwy.
- William Craven, Private 576. Died 23/12/1921, aged 28. Welsh Guards. Buried at St Agnes Cemetery, Conwy. Lived at Brynhyfryd Terrace, Conwy. Son of James Craven, fisherman, of Berry Street, Conwy. One of six brothers who served. Joined Manchester police in 1911. Was a runner and weightlifter and played for Conwy Football Club. Shot in the head by a German sniper at the Battle of Loos in 1915 and never regained full health.
- Edmund John Crossfield, Shoeing Smith, TS/3663. Died 27/10/1918, aged 37. Army Service Corps, attd 50th Div HQ. Berlin South-Western Cemetery. Son of boat builder and Conwy councillor John Crossfield and Elizabeth Crossfield, of Inglewood, Cadnant Park, Conwy; husband of Mary A Crossfield, of 25 Woodland Rd., Windermere. Native of Arnside, Cumbria. Commemorated at St John’s Methodist Church, Conwy.
- Thomas William Curtis (Lance Corporal), 25753, Royal Engineers Training Centre, Deganwy. Died 7/11/1918. Buried in Bagillt (St Mary’s) churchyard, Flintshire. Husband of Ethel Curtis of 5 Bryn Hyfryd, Conwy.
- Edwin Charles Bryan Davies, Able Seaman, J/17165, Royal Navy. Died 06/10/1917 when HMS Begonia collided with a German U-boat near Casablanca, Morocco. Commemorated at Portsmouth Naval Memorial. Son of Philip John and Bessie Davies of 32 Marl Crescent, Llandudno Junction. Commemorated (as Bryan Davies) at St John’s Methodist Church, Conwy.
- William Evan Davies, 49028. Died 14/06/1917. Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Arras Memorial. Of 23 Berry Street. Through marriage to a local woman, he had five brothers-in-law from Conwy, surname Craven, who all served in the war.

- Herbert Winter Edwards, 53693. Died 06/05/1917 aged 21. Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Douai Communal Cemetery, Nord, France. Son of Mrs Edwards of 2 Church Street, Conwy. Worked as a compositor at the North Wales Weekly News.
- Oliver Ellis (Sapper), WR/500930, Royal Engineers Inland Water Transport. Died 07/09/1918. Buried at Les Baraques military cemetery, Sangatte, France. Of Berry Street, Conwy. Drowned by accident, aged 35. Left an invalided wife and three children. Worked for the council before enlisting. Commemorated at Capel Tabernacl, Conwy.

Son of William and Mary Evans, of Royal Oak, Lower Gate Street, Conwy; husband of Agnes Evans of Gwynfryn, Chapel Street, Conwy. Left a child.

- George Charles Hemmett (Colour Sergeant), 22173, Border Regiment. Died 13 June 1916, aged 41. Buried at St Agnes Churchyard, Conwy, where his gravestone was “erected by his brother comrades of the sergeant’s mess, 3rd Border Regiment”. Husband of Isabel Hemmett.
- William Hevey, 16070, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Died 10/07/1916. Commemorated at Thiepval memorial, Somme, France. Only son of Annie Roberts (formerly Hevey) of Ivanhoe Woodlands, Conwy, and Michael Hevey.
- Hugh Hughes, M/408455, Army Service Corps, transferred to (647643) 35th Company Labour Corps. Died 01/11/1918 of influenza, shortly after arriving in France. Buried at Awoingt British Cemetery, France. Son of Thomas R Hughes and Jane Hughes of Bryn Morfa, Conwy. Thomas Hughes was a farmer, coal and timber merchant and councilor. In April 1919 he attended an auction in Bangor of former army horses from the camps at Morfa Conwy and Deganwy. He paid the highest price for an animal, £76 2s 6d. He died a few days later.

- William Hughes, Private 265315. Died 26/08/1917 aged 34 years. Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Buried Gaza War Cemetery. Son of Richard and Ann Hughes, of 9 Ty Gwyn Cottages, Conwy. Brother of MJ Hughes of Ty Gwyn Cottages. Survived the ill-fated attempt to invade Turkey through Gallipoli. On return from last leave, his ship was torpedoed and he was in the water for five hours.

- Edward Jermy Jephson (Captain), Norfolk Regiment. Died 15/09/1916. Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Grew up in Tunbridge Wells. Son of Mrs EJ Jephson of Gweryl Lodge Nurseries, Conwy. Married Gwladys Jones, daughter of councillor Fred Jones, of Grosvenor, Conwy.
- Edward Jones, Private 3088. Died 01/12/1915. Welsh Regiment 1st/5th Battalion. Commemorated at Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey. Lived in Penrhiwceibr, near Aberdare, when war broke out. He was well known in Conwy, according to a contemporary press report.
- Griffith Morris Jones (Lieutenant), Westmorland and Cumberland Yeomanry. Died 13/12/1918, aged 28. Buried Llanfair (St. Mary) Churchyard, near Harlech. Son of the Rev Robert and Mrs Ellen Jones, of Gyffin Rectory. Educated at Jesus College, Oxford. Died of illness at Matlock Hospital.

- John Arthur Jones (Lance Corporal), 4179189. Died 16/09/1920. Royal Welsh Fusiliers 2nd Bn. Wrexham Cemetery. Enlisted in 1915, age 15. Son of John Thomas Jones and Susannah Jones. Brother of Corporal Edward Jones MM, who died soon after the Second World War.

- Robert Owen Jones, 265030, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Died 13/10/1920 aged 32. Buried at St Agnes Churchyard, Conwy. Son of Ann and Robert Jones, of 3 Watkin Street, Conwy.
- William Owen Jones (Guardsman), 3614, Welsh Guards. Died 03/03/1919 aged 26. Buried at Cologne Southern cemetery, Germany. Son of John and Hannah Jones, of 25, Berry Street, Conwy; husband of Hannah Jones of Rose Place, Conwy. Left one child. Commemorated at Capel Tabernacl, Conwy. William was mate on the Liverpool-registered merchant ship SS Exchange until he joined the army in 1917. The ship was torpedoed and lost with all crew on its next voyage after he’d left. He was part of the British army of occupation in Germany after the armistice. He was discharged there and waiting to return home when he fell ill with influenza and died of pneumonia.
