Remembering the Thetis 100
There's no memorial in Moelfre, Anglesey, to the 99 men who died when the new submarine HMS Thetis ...
sank nearby while being tested in 1939. One of the divers salvaging the wreck died of the bends, bringing the death toll to 100. But now there's a HistoryPoints QR plaque where walkers on the Wales Coast Path overlook the beach to which the submarine was dragged for removal of bodies. You can read the story by scanning the QRs, or click here. Francais ici.
