Most of the texts on our HiPoint pages are concise, so that they’re easy to read on smartphone screens. If they’ve whetted your appetite, try some of the sources below for further reading.

Many HiPoint pages have links to external websites which may provide more historical detail, as well as useful information such as opening times.

County archives have provided useful historical information and illustrations for various HiPoints. In your local county archive you’ll find a treasure trove of historical materials, along with staff and volunteers who will be happy to help you find your way around.

In our Contributors’ section you’ll find details of local history societies and other contributing organisations. Many of them have a wealth of historical resources. Why not join the historical society in your area?
