The Clwyd Family History Society

The Clwyd Family History Society

The society was formed in 1980 to encourage the study of genealogy and family history in North-east Wales. It also provides a forum for people to meet and help each other in their research. It now has more than 1,300 members worldwide. It publishes a journal four times a year and holds monthly meetings, open to members and non-members, at various venues in the region.

Its area includes Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and part of Conwy county borough. In 2004, the society opened a resource centre for members at Cefn Mawr, Wrexham.
