  • John Davies. War memorial indicates that he was also from Blaen-y-Cwm. Therefore possibly brother of David Davies above.
  • Roland Alec Llewelyn Gallen, Private, 19599. Died 10/04/1916, age 21. Royal Welsh Fusiliers 16th Bn. Cemetery: Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy, France. Undergraduate at Lampeter College. Son of Edward Alex and      Mary Valerie Gallen, of Dylassa, Betws-y-Coed.
  • Edgar A Hughes, Sailor. Died 18/04/1917, age 21. Mercantile Marine, S.S. Castilian. Memorial: Tower Hill Memorial. Son of David Arthur Hughes and Anne Hughes, of School House, Rowen. Born at Pemnachno.His ship was torpedoed by a German U-boat off the coast of Northern Ireland, while sailing from Liverpool to Italy.
